Breakfast: The LaGuardia Plaza offers breakfast at their Pavilion Grille starting at 6am.
Buffet Lunch: Gender Conference NYC provides lunch for all attendees and badges are required. You will receive your badge when you check in at our registration desk. Vegan and Gluten Free options are available on the adult buffet. If you need a Kosher meal, please contact registration@genderconference.nyc
Day Care: We do not provide snacks for Day Care children. PLEASE send your child's favorite snacks and drinks in a small cooler bag properly labeled with name. Must be reliably out of diapers.
Elementary & Middle School - We provide two light snack breaks. If you wish to send your child’s favorite snacks or drinks please deliver to the counselors in a small cooler bag properly labeled with name.
High School –High Schoolers are not required to sign-in or sign-out of the program space. Additionally, these young people will be able to explore the conference at large. We want to empower our high school age youth and young adults to make the most of the conference. While we will have plenty of adult support and supervision throughout our space, we are asking that our parents help keep the space safer by referring any young person who appears to be in need of support to a GC*NYC volunteer or hotel employee. If you prefer your child remain in the HS space and not be allowed to leave on their own, please be sure to check in with the HS staff at the beginning of the day. Please also keep in mind that young people under the age of 18 are not permitted in Parent/Caregiver/Ally Program workshops.
Our High School and Middle School Programs are located in a different building on the same hotel campus. Connection between program is a short outdoor walkway and will be facilitated by GC*NYC staff throughout our Family and Youth Day.
Friday Meet and Greet: Hosted by Vanessa and JR Ford 7:00pm - 9:00pm Ice-breaker activities for parents and kids, light snacks served at 8:15pm. To be held in the New York A&B Suite in the Hampton Inn.
Saturday Pizza & Dance Party: Pizza will be served at time 6:15pm followed by a dance party in the Grand Ballroom I and II in the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel. Note: GC*NYC will not be responsible for children during the party. You must stay responsible for your own children during this time.
Parking: We have arranged for a discounted parking rate of $10 per day. The parking stickers for the discounted parking rate can be picked up at registration throughout the day, so please make sure you pick one up before you leave the conference for the day.
