Ty Browne

Ty Browne is a Black, transmasculine, and nonbinary school Social Worker for Pathways to Leadership working in East New York, Brooklyn. Ty works to help young people navigate academic, social and environmental challenges by highlighting and building upon their strengths while also engaging school, familial and community supports. In addition to his role at P2L, Ty also currently works in Harlem, NY as a per diem clinician at The Jewish Board, supporting children between three and eight years old in reaching their socioemotional and developmental goals through child centered play therapy. He received his Masters in Social Work from Fordham University with a concentration in Leadership and Macro Practice to intertwine an intersectional and multi-systemic lens in his clinical practice. Ty’s focus is in supporting his communities by helping them to leverage their strengths and voices while working to decolonize the structures and systems which hinder their opportunities.
